Video Assets or Speaker Interviews?

The Real Time Video's are a great asset.

Not only do the videos show who the Speaker is, they give a really honest account of their capabilities, personality and style of the Speaker, which gives much light to the selection process.

I have been asked if I believe the video's are too long for busy people. Currently they can be between seven and twelve minutes long. Let's not get Youtube shock clips and eclectic video's and the marketing of such, mixed up with "real" research!

What is the goal when you are working with a Speakers Bureau or agency?

To find the most suitable candidate for your event, be it Speaker or Entertainer.

If you can get enough information from an out of date Biography and a low res pic and your happy about that, then fine, I get it. Go for it.

The video interviews include,  outlines the speakers BIO (from his/her own mouth), discusses his/her style and approach to their work, goes through current capabilities as a Speaker, MC, show's his/her personality.

Do Real Time Video's offer more effective way for clients and organisations to choose talent? Is it worth the ten minutes to really find out what a Speaker is about? Mmmmmm yes!

If feedback is always the best judge then we are doing something right.

Their is currently no Speaker Interview repository available and it was an area that we were very interested in developing.  We have certainly been on a huge learning curve with our production, equipment, editing and producing the video's.

We made a decision to just start doing the interviews; you have to love the early Speakers we interviewed, who despite our obvious ineptitude in composition, positioning and for that matter interviewing, gave us unbridled support and encouragement. Thank you guys, you know who you are.

The vision is to bring Speaker and Entertainment selection criteria to a new level. Create a more informative and interactive experience. Gathering up to date and current information. Develop the idea continually and innovate from what we learn doing the Real Time Video series.

While producing the video's is time consuming, there many intrinsic values which reach into other parts of our buisness. The relationship you build with the Speakers, getting to know the Speaker, understanding how they work, who they are, what their material is about.

While editing I watch the interviews ten times or more, so I really get know about the interviewee which helps my Speaker knowledge, which is in turn the greatest asset I can offer to The Entertainers clientele.

So, onward we march, Not really knowing how the next interview with Bill Harrigan will go, well I expect, excited, just understanding that we need to notice the results of what we do and change our behaviour until we get what we want and keep going when the others are in bed.
